Biography
Michelle Hummel is a staff member at Sandia National Laboratories. She received a PhD in Applied Mathematics from the University of New Mexico in 2014 with a focus on computational geometry where her dissertation involved weighted Delaunay and Voronoi meshes and their applications. She worked as a postdoctoral researcher with Stony Brook University continuing work in those fields. She began work at Sandia National Laboratories as a postdoctoral researcher followed by conversion to staff. Currently she works on algorithm development, image classification, and image processing.
